Members

Members is the workspace settings page where a firm manages who has access to this account, and what each person can see or change. It answers who can access this firm and what they can do.

Roles and what each can do

Every person in the workspace holds one of four roles. Roles are hierarchical: a higher role includes everything a lower role can do.

The Compare roles dialog breaks this down by capability:

Personal data follows the role: a Viewer sees reporting and Case summaries, but personal identifiers and detailed evidence require Analyst or above. Use this table to decide who needs Analyst access versus who only needs Viewer.

Managing members and invitations

The page has two tabs, each with its own count: Members and Invitations. Search by name or email, or filter by role, including a Can manage access shortcut for roles that hold the members permission. Switching tabs clears the search and filter.

• The members table shows each person's name, email, role badge, and join date. Open a row's manage action to change their role or remove them from the workspace.
• To add someone, use Invite member, enter their work email, and choose a role (Viewer by default).
• An invitation sits in one of three states: Draft (created but not yet sent), Pending (sent, awaiting acceptance, with an expiry date), or Expired. Renew a pending or expired invitation to turn it back into a draft, or discard a draft you no longer need.
• QuantSentry blocks duplicate invitations: you cannot invite someone who is already a member, or send a second invitation to an email that already has one pending.

Empty and filtered-out states are explicit (No members, No matching members) rather than a blank table, and a footer always shows the live count against the total.

How access is protected

A few guardrails keep access changes safe:

• You cannot change your own role or remove yourself. Another owner or admin has to do it.
• The workspace always keeps at least one owner; the last remaining owner cannot be demoted or removed.
• Removing someone from the workspace keeps their past notes and investigation history attributed to them.
• Access is specific to this firm. A role granted here does not carry over to another workspace.

How it connects

Members governs who can reach the rest of the product: Connections management is restricted to Owner and Admin, and evidence with personal identifiers on Traders and Cases requires Analyst or above.
